Purpose of This Resource Guide
This guide connects Clayton County residents with trusted local, regional, and national resources that support stability, wellness, and family well-being.
The Clayton County Community Resource Handbook was developed by the Housing Authority of Clayton County (HACC) to serve as a unified, reliable directory of essential services for residents and partner agencies across Clayton County, Georgia.
This expanded 2025 edition includes local, regional, state, and national resources offering housing, food, healthcare, utilities, employment, legal aid, transportation, and family support. It reflects the collaborative spirit of community organizations-large and small, public and faith-based-that together sustain the safety and well-being of Clayton County residents.
All listings have been verified for accuracy as of December 2025 and are subject to change based on funding, staffing, and seasonal availability. Each program entry includes contact information, eligibility notes, and a "Last Verified" date for transparency.
This handbook is a living document-updated regularly through partner submissions, staff outreach, and HACC verification. By sharing accurate, compassionate information, we aim to connect every household with the help it needs.
While this handbook centers on services within Clayton County, many Metro Atlanta organizations are included as well. These agencies regularly support Clayton County residents, offer region-wide programs, or maintain open eligibility that extends beyond county lines. Their inclusion ensures that every household has access to the fullest range of assistance available across our wider community.
